Tollywood director seeks anticipatory bail in drugs case from Telangana HC

Tollywood director Krish has approached the Telangana High Court for anticipatory bail in the Radisson Hotel drugs case, denying his involvement in the case. The Cyberabad police busted the case on February 26, naming Krish as accused number 10 and stating that he was absconding.

The court directed Cyberabad police to submit details of the case and adjourned the hearing to March 4. Deputy Commissioner of Police G. Vineeth mentioned that Krish initially agreed to a medical examination but later stopped responding to police calls, claiming to be in Mumbai.

Gajjala Vivekanand, director of Manjeera Group of Companies, was arrested in the case along with businessman Nirbhay Sindhi and film producer Kedhar. The investigation revealed that former employee Syed Abbas Ali Jaffri was supplying cocaine to Vivekanand, sourced from Mirza Waheed Baig, leading to more suspects being identified.

Vivekananda, son of BJP leader Gajjala Yoganand, hosted a party where Krish, model-cum-YouTuber Kallapu Lishi Ganesha, and others allegedly consumed drugs. Police are currently searching for all the accused, with some reportedly having fled abroad. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act.

The Special Operations Team – Cyberabad and Gachibowli Police conducted the operation on the night of February 25. Three used plastic sachets of cocaine were found at the hotel, leading to Vivekanand’s arrest and positive drug test. The investigation is ongoing, with more details expected to emerge in the coming days.
