BJP selects Jitendra Singh and Jugal Kishore for LS elections in Jammu and Kashmir

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced its candidates for two Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir. The Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Office, Jitendra Singh, will contest from the Udhampur-Kathua constituency, while Jugal Kishore will be the party’s candidate for the Jammu constituency. Both candidates had won in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls from these respective constituencies.

Jitendra Singh, who currently serves as the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, has been fielded by the BJP from the Udhampur-Kathua constituency. This move comes as the party gears up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the region. Jugal Kishore, who has previously won from the Jammu constituency, will once again represent the BJP in the upcoming polls.

The decision to field Jitendra Singh and Jugal Kishore as candidates for the Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir showcases the BJP’s confidence in their abilities to secure victory in the region. With both candidates having emerged victorious in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the party is hopeful that they will once again garner the support of the electorate in the upcoming elections.
