Opposition Struggling to Accept Government Initiatives: Punjab CM

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann slams Opposition for skipping Governor’s address in the Assembly, accusing them of being more focused on grabbing political power than on the state’s development. Mann criticizes their lack of concern for the welfare of the people and vows that the upcoming Lok Sabha polls will serve as a lesson for them.

During the discussion on the Governor’s address, Mann highlighted his government’s efforts for the welfare of farmers while condemning the Opposition for their insincere actions. He emphasized that the state government has been utilizing funds effectively for the betterment of the people, unlike the previous administration which he accused of mismanagement and corruption.

Mann did not hold back in his criticism of the Badal family, alleging that they have looted from the state for personal gain. He specifically called out the waiver of luxury tax for their benefit in the construction of Sukhvilas Hotel, leading to a significant loss for the state exchequer. The Chief Minister emphasized the need for accountability and transparency in governance to prevent such exploitation of resources.

The Chief Minister’s strong words against the Opposition and the Badal family underscore the ongoing political tensions in Punjab. As the state prepares for the Lok Sabha polls, Mann’s comments serve as a reminder of the importance of prioritizing the well-being of the people over personal or political gains. Despite facing opposition, Mann remains steadfast in his commitment to the holistic development of Punjab.
