Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to Attend Credit Outreach Event in Bihar

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman arrived in Patna on Tuesday to distribute Rs 1349.52 crore loans under nine central government schemes, including PM Mudra Yojana and Startup India. The Credit Outreach programme was held at Jay Prakash Narayan University in Chhapra city.

Sitharaman was welcomed by Deputy CM Samrat Choudhary and other BJP leaders at the Patna airport before heading to Chhapra. She will also address a gathering in Chhapra, with Union Minister Giriraj Singh and other leaders in attendance at the event.

The Finance Minister’s visit to Bihar aims to boost financial inclusion and support entrepreneurs through various government schemes. The distribution of loans under different programs will benefit small businesses and promote economic growth in the region.

Sitharaman’s presence in Chhapra highlights the government’s commitment to enhancing credit accessibility and promoting development in rural areas. The Credit Outreach programme underscores the government’s efforts to empower individuals and support grassroots initiatives for economic progress.
