Delhi police arrest Neeraj Bawana gang member after encounter

A Neeraj Bawana-Naveen Bali gang member, Mukesh a.k.a Bhola, was arrested by the Special Cell in outer Delhi after an exchange of fire. He is a declared ‘Bad Character’ of Jahangirpuri with a history of 15 criminal cases. The police had been tracking his activities for over a month before the arrest.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Alok Kumar, stated that the police received specific information about Mukesh’s whereabouts and planned his arrest near Netaji Subhash Place Pacific Mall. Despite being asked to surrender, Mukesh fired at the police team, leading to a confrontation where he was eventually disarmed and arrested.

Mukesh was known to provide logistics and financial assistance to the gang members, particularly Sunny Jaswant and Kalu aka Sunil. He was involved in multiple incidents of violence, including opening fire at a club in Rajouri Garden and shooting at a man’s house in Jahangirpuri. A semi-automatic pistol was recovered from his possession during the arrest.
