ED conducts raids at multiple locations in Kolkata in connection with school-job case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids in connection with the cash-for-school-job case in and around Kolkata. Operations at three different locations were confirmed by central agency insiders. One location was the residence of para-teacher Abdul Amin, close to former West Bengal education minister Partha Chatterjee.

Simultaneous raid and search operations were also ongoing at the residence of Chandan Chattopadhyay, a land-deal agent with links to middleman Prasanna Roy. Another location being raided was the luxurious accommodation of businessman Kamal Agarwal, who was not present during the operation.

The ED’s actions come in the wake of the ongoing investigation into the cash-for-school-job case, which has already led to the arrest of key figures involved. The agency is working to uncover the extent of the corruption and illegal activities that have taken place in the education system in West Bengal. Further details are expected to emerge as the raids and search operations continue in the region.

These raids mark a significant step in the ED’s efforts to crackdown on corruption and illegal activities in the state. The central agency is leaving no stone unturned in its pursuit of justice and accountability. The developments in this case highlight the importance of upholding the principles of transparency and integrity in the education sector. The ED’s actions send a strong message to those who seek to exploit the system for personal gain.
