Check donors’ details here: SBI electoral bonds received from Bajaj Auto, Apollo Tyres and more

New Delhi, March 14 (IANS) – The Election Commission of India has recently released data regarding electoral bonds on its website. The data, received from the State Bank of India on March 12, includes information on corporate entities purchasing the bonds as well as details of political parties receiving them.

The first set of details, spanning 337 pages, discloses the names of corporate entities that bought electoral bonds and the dates of purchase. The second part, consisting of 426 pages, provides information on political parties, dates, and the amount received.

Despite the transparency in data publication, it remains unclear which corporate entities purchased electoral bonds for specific political parties. The complete lists can be accessed on the IANS website.

Notable donors to various political parties through electoral bonds include Grasim Industries, Bajaj Auto, Bharti Airtel, DLF Commercial Developers, Vedanta Ltd, Cipla, Apollo Tyres, and many more. Among the recipients of funds are parties like BJP, Congress, AIADMK, TDP, NCP, AAP, and others as well.

The ECI emphasized its commitment to disclosure and transparency in electoral bond transactions, a stance supported by the Supreme Court. The move to publish this data underscores the importance of accountability and openness in political funding processes.
