Fired Julieanna Goddard — aka YesJulz Slapped With $8 Million Lawsuit By Kanye West
The acrimony between Kanye West and former contractor Julieanna Goddard — aka YesJulz — is getting murkier, as Kanye has shared a cryptic text which is a copy of a lawsuit on Sunday, March 17, 2024, on his Instagram Story. However, Kanye later deleted the post.
Legal Battle Between Kanye West vs. YesJulz Over NDA Breach
Kanye West is suing social media personality YesJulz for contravening a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) when she was employed with Kanye.
Among the charges against YesJulz is constantly, deliberately, and grossly going against the NDA and revealing corporate sales figures and social media policies.
YesJulz is also accused of revealing the release plans of the Vultures album and product designs before release. The lawsuit is seeking damages to the tune of $8,000,000.
Kanye also revealed that he had removed YesJulz last week. YesJulz was deeply involved with the release of Kanye’s Vultures 1 album rollout. However, things got nasty when YesJulz started reaching out to Kanye’s fan page and talked about a “Yeezy Universe” app, which she was creating for free. She also hinted at pushing forward a virtual currency that will be credited into fans’ accounts and could be used to purchase things on the Yeezy fanbase.
She later agreed that her ideas were not approved by Kanye but said that he knew and was aware of the happenings, and she feels bad when, despite working all day, her work is not recognized. After her firing, YesJulz retorted on Twitter, “F**k an NDA. Sue me.”
The genesis of this unsavory happening can be traced back to Kanye West’s brand by the chief of staff, Milo Yiannopoulos, who fired famed influencer YesJulz. After YesJulz’s contract was terminated, she was also issued a letter from Milo Yiannopoulos, Yeezy’s chief of staff, fining her a staggering $7.7 million. Milo Yiannopoulos also warned of more hefty fines if there are any more violations. He also added that since YesJulz did not sign the contract, her termination is effective immediately.
What followed was an acrimonious fallout, which included leaked text messages and emails and heated exchanges from both parties.
Julieanna Goddard, 34, a.k.a. YesJulz, is a well-known social influencer and a talent manager who posts regularly on ‘YesJulz’ online and was connected with Kanye’s fanbase and was live streaming his Las Vegas listening party.
YesJulz responded after her firing and took to X to expose Yiannopoulos with more leaks, including a highly damaging comment on the fans of Kanye. One message from Yiannopoulos read that the last thing they needed was ideas from the “Down Syndrome” megafans on social media.
