Education Department employees booked for appointing Urdu teachers with forged documents

In Siddharth Nagar, Uttar Pradesh, four education department employees, including the BSA, have been booked for appointing Urdu teachers with forged documents. The FIR was lodged after a probe by UP STF revealed their involvement in irregularities, where they facilitated postings and forged signatures of senior officials.

The accused individuals, including BSA Devendra Kumar Pandey and block education officer Kunwar Vikram Pandey, were found to have granted affiliation to non-existent schools and facilitated the appointments of suspended teachers in the district. The former BSA submitted a complaint to ADG, STF, raising concerns over the recruitment process and issuance of appointment letters.

Despite repeated complaints to authorities, no action was taken, leading to suspicions of fake signatures and forgery of documents. A report from the district basic education officer confirmed the doubtful recognition of 15 schools due to missing documents. The complainant also alleged that a junior clerk involved in the activities was being protected by the BSA.

Superintendent of Police Prachi Singh stated that prima facie the allegations were found to be correct, leading to the lodging of an FIR. She mentioned that further investigation is ongoing to uncover the full extent of the irregularities. The case highlights the need for transparency and accountability in the education sector to prevent such fraudulent activities from occurring.
