SIA-India and Brazil’s ABRASAT sign MoU to advance space sector collaboration

The SatCom Industry Association of India (SIA-India) has joined forces with ABRASAT, the Brazilian Satellite Communications Association, to enhance progress in the space sector. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by the two associations aims to foster collaboration in various aspects of the space industry, such as satellite communication and rocket launches.

This partnership will pave the way for innovative ventures and technological cooperation between India and Brazil. It will enable business expansion and cooperation in areas like payload development and ground instrumentation. Dr Subba Rao Pavuluri, President of SIA-India, highlighted the importance of this strategic alliance in facilitating seamless connectivity and communication across different sectors and geographic regions.

India and Brazil have a history of collaboration in the space sector, including the successful launch of the Amazonia 1 satellite. The MoU signifies a milestone in strengthening ties and unlocking new avenues for business-to-business collaboration. Mauro Wajnberg, President of ABRASAT, emphasized the significance of this agreement in leveraging the satellite industry of both countries for mutual benefit.

The partnership between SIA-India and ABRASAT will explore market dynamics, infrastructure development, and private investments in the satellite industry.
