HM Shah scheduled to address two rallies in Assam on April 6

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is gearing up to address public rallies in Assam to support BJP candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed that Shah will visit Assam on April 6 and address rallies in Lakhimpur and Hojai.

Upon his arrival in Assam, Shah will kick off his campaign by addressing a rally in Lakhimpur in support of BJP candidate Pradan Baruah. He will then proceed to Hojai, which falls under the Kaziranga Lok Sabha constituency, to support BJP candidate Kamakhya Prasad Tasa.

The state BJP unit is also in discussions with the Prime Minister’s Office to finalize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally schedule in Assam. Chief Minister Sarma expressed optimism about finalizing the schedule in the coming days.

Five Lok Sabha seats in Assam are set to go to polls in the first phase of elections on April 19. The BJP is actively campaigning in the state, with senior leaders like Amit Shah and potentially Narendra Modi making appearances to bolster the party’s prospects in the upcoming elections.
