Leopard Enters House in Delhi Village, Five People Injured

New Delhi, April 1 (IANS) – Five people were injured after a leopard entered a house in a village in Delhi on Monday morning. The incident occurred in Gali No-3, Jagatpura village, where the big cat was eventually cornered by residents with the help of the fire department.

Director of Delhi Fire Service (DFS) Atul Garg stated that a distress call was received at 6.18 a.m., prompting the dispatch of two fire tenders to the location. By 8.25 a.m., the leopard had been confined to a room but not before causing injuries to around 4-5 individuals who were promptly taken to the hospital for medical attention.

The local authorities have taken swift action by cordoning off the area, while a team from the forest department has also been deployed to handle the situation. As of now, further information on the incident is still pending, with more details expected to emerge in due course, as per official sources.
