Jammu and Kashmir police officer injured in Kathua shootout passes away (Ld)

In a tragic incident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district, a trainee assistant sub-inspector of J&K Police, Deepak Sharma, succumbed to injuries sustained in a shootout. The incident took place on the premises of a government medical college, where one gangster was killed.

Deepak Sharma, who was on practical field training, was injured in the shootout and was immediately admitted to Amandeep Hospital in Pathankot. However, despite efforts by medical personnel, he could not recover from his critical injuries and passed away on Wednesday morning.

Officials revealed that the shootout occurred late Tuesday evening and resulted in the death of a gangster. The trainee sub-inspector’s tragic demise has left the police force and his family in mourning. The details surrounding the shootout and the events leading to it are currently under investigation.

The loss of Deepak Sharma has shocked the law enforcement community in Jammu and Kashmir.
