Rajpal Yadav stars in ‘Kaam Chalu Hai’, focusing on accidents caused by potholes

The upcoming streaming film ‘Kaam Chalu Hai’ starring Rajpal Yadav is based on a real-life story focusing on the impact of potholes leading to road accidents. The story follows a father’s mission to fulfill his daughter’s dream of becoming a cricketer, which takes a tragic turn when she gets involved in an accident due to an administration’s fault.

Rajpal’s character is inspired by Manoj Patil, whose world revolves around his daughter Gudiya and wife Radha. The film showcases how the father turns his mourning into a mission to protect another daughter from suffering the same fate as Gudiya. The film is written and directed by Palaash Muchhal and also stars Gia Manek and Kurangi Nagraj.

Rajpal expressed his excitement for the project, stating, “Kaam Chalu Hai’ is a deeply moving, inspiring, and heartwarming story about a parent who loses his child due to a tragic accident. The audience will relate to it on a deeper level as it is inspired by true incidents.” The film is set to release on April 19 on ZEE5.

Palaash Muchhal, the writer and director of the film, shared his thoughts on the project, saying, “‘Kaam Chalu Hai’ explores a theme often overlooked in our society, shedding light on a harsh reality. My aim is to resonate with audiences and evoke a sense of connection, and this film does exactly that. I hope the viewers enjoy this film and go back with a renewed hope.” Produced by Baseline Ventures, the film promises to offer a poignant narrative that will strike a chord with the audience.
