AAP’s Isudan Gadhvi to lead symbolic fast in Gujarat to protest CM Kejriwal’s arrest

Ahmedabad, April 6 (IANS) – The Aam Aadmi Party’s Gujarat unit, under the leadership of state president Isudan Gadhvi, is set to hold a symbolic one-day fast on Sunday in protest against the alleged wrongful arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy case. The event will take place at the party’s state office on Sunday.

According to Manoj Sorathiya, the General Secretary of the AAP’s Gujarat unit, “No matter how much the BJP ‘misuses’ the ED and CBI, Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP will never succumb to their pressure.” The fast is scheduled to be observed from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

This move comes as a show of solidarity and support for Arvind Kejriwal, who was recently arrested in connection with the excise policy case. The AAP is adamant in their stance against what they perceive as government pressure tactics. Gujarat unit president Isudan Gadhvi is leading the charge in this demonstration of protest against the alleged wrongful arrest.

The fast organized by the AAP’s Gujarat unit aims to bring attention to the alleged misuse of power by the BJP-led government in targeting opposition leaders. The party is standing firm in their support for Arvind Kejriwal and vows to resist any attempts to silence their voices. The event is expected to draw support from AAP members and sympathizers in the region.
