BJP protests in Delhi demanding Kejriwal’s resignation as CM over ‘Sharab Se Sheeshmahal’ scandal

The Delhi BJP intensifies its demand for CM Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation, citing corruption charges and scams. They launched the “Sharab se Sheeshmahal” campaign, accusing Kejriwal of misusing funds for his residence. Senior leaders and party members staged a protest in Connaught Place, distributing leaflets denouncing corruption.

A scaled-down replica of Kejriwal’s official residence was displayed outside Palika Market, featuring miniature alcohol bottles with his image. Delhi BJP Chief criticized AAP’s internal conflict and called for collective accountability for corruption. Shazia Ilmi accused AAP of fasting to protect corrupt individuals instead of taking responsibility.

Ilmi expressed disappointment in supporting AAP initially and highlighted Kejriwal’s alleged Rs 52 crore expenditure on his palace amidst the COVID-19 crisis. BJP candidate Kamaljeet Sehrawat criticized the lack of essential services during the pandemic, contrasting it with the opulence of Kejriwal’s residence. The BJP emphasized the disparity in priorities between Kejriwal’s luxury and the needs of Delhi residents.
