BMW continues strong sales momentum in 2024, with 51% increase in Q1 car deliveries.

BMW Group India has reported a 51 percent growth in car deliveries in the first quarter of 2024, with a total of 3,680 units sold. Additionally, 1,810 BMW Motorrad motorcycles were also delivered during the same period. The company plans to launch 19 new products in India this year, including cars and motorcycles.

The luxury car market in India is thriving, with BMW experiencing strong demand for its SUV models like the X7, X3, and X1. The company also reported solid traction for its top models like the 7 Series, i7, and X7, as well as the BMW 3 Series sedan. BMW Group India President Vikram Pawah emphasized the company’s leadership in the luxury electric car market, with models like the i7, iX, i4, iX1, and MINI SE.

In the highly competitive luxury car segment in India, BMW faces tough competition from other major automakers like Mercedes-Benz and Audi. While Mercedes-Benz currently leads the luxury market in India, BMW remains a key player with a diverse product portfolio and a strong presence in the electric vehicle market. Audi, Volvo, and Jaguar Land Rover also compete in the luxury segment, offering both petrol and electric models to cater to different preferences.

BMW’s upcoming launch of the i5 electric car further solidifies its position in the luxury electric car market in India. The company aims to capitalize on the growing demand for electric vehicles and expand its offerings in the country.
