BSF confiscates banned medications in Punjab

In a joint effort between the BSF and the FDA of Ferozepur, Punjab, a significant breakthrough was made in the fight against illegal drug distribution. Acting on intelligence, a raid on a medical shop near Changa Rai Uttar village resulted in the seizure of banned medicines including Pregabalin and Tapentadol.

The raid, conducted in Ferozepur district, uncovered 20,370 capsules of Pregabalin and 93 tablets of Tapentadol being sold without proper prescription. This raises concerns for public health and safety, prompting the samples to be sent for analysis and testing in Mohali.

The collaborative operation highlights the commitment of both the BSF and FDA in combating drug abuse and striving towards a drug-free Punjab. This effort serves as a step towards ensuring the well-being of the community and cracking down on illegal drug distribution in the region.
