PM Modi leads BJP to strong position ahead of Lok Sabha elections

Shifting BJP’s election campaign into top gear, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed multiple rallies across India, highlighting his government’s achievements and cautioning against divisive alliances. Meanwhile, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi urged voters to support the INDIA bloc, emphasizing an “ideological battle” in the country.

PM Modi targeted the INDI Alliance in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, accusing the Congress of an “anti-Ram mindset” and insulting divine forces. He criticized the Congress manifesto as appeasement and linked the party to the 1984 Sikh riots, contrasting BJP’s support for Sikhs.

In Vellore, PM Modi criticized DMK’s corruption and promoted Tamil culture and language, emphasizing a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Viksit Tamil Nadu’. He highlighted the government’s efforts for development and achievements amid challenges. He discussed terrorism, Article 370, border security, and respect for the Constitution in other rallies.

Rahul Gandhi, campaigning in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu, criticized the Centre’s pro-rich focus and reiterated Congress’s promises including caste census, Mahalaxmi Yojana, apprenticeship scheme, MSP, and repealing Agnipath. He stressed the difference between BJP-RSS and Congress ideologies and promised drastic action for employment.
