The West Tripura district administration has declared a ‘no-fly zone’ and ‘red zone’ over Agartala for PM Modi’s visit on April 17. The PM will address a mega election rally at Swami Vivekananda Maidan on the last day of campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections.
Tripura BJP spokesman Subrata Chakraborty confirmed PM Modi’s rally in Agartala on April 17. The event falls on the verge of the Lok Sabha elections scheduled for April 19.
The West Tripura District Magistrate Vishal Kumar notified a ban on flying drones and unmanned aerial vehicles in Agartala and its outskirts on April 16 and 17. Violators will face punishment under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made by the police for ensuring the safety and security of the Prime Minister during his visit to Agartala on April 17.
