Jammu-Srinagar National Highway closed due to landslides

The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been closed for traffic due to landslides at Kishtwari Pather in Banihal. Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police advised people to avoid journey on NH-44. The highway is a crucial link for Kashmir Valley connecting it with the country.

“NH-44 blocked due to Heavy landslide at Kishtwari Pather. People are advised to avoid journey,” stated the Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police. The closure of the highway has caused inconvenience to commuters and disrupted the transportation of goods and supplies to the Kashmir Valley. Authorities are working to clear the debris and reopen the highway for traffic.
