After the Corona epidemic came under control in the UK, now Prime Minister Boris Johnson has come under attack from his own former aide. Former Johnson Chief Advisor Dominic Cummings, in a hearing that lasted for seven hours in front of the Parliamentary Committee, made sharp attacks on the Boris Johnson government. Cummings said, “Boris Johnson is not eligible to continue as PM after a chaotic and inefficient response against the epidemic.”

Cummings said that Johnson’s ‘poor handling of the Kovid epidemic’ has led to needless thousands of deaths.

With around 128,000 deaths, the United Kingdom has become the fifth most covid-affected country in the world. This is much higher than the government’s initial estimate of 20,000.

During the hearing, Dominic Cummings strongly criticized the Boris Johnson government. Cummings uncovered the government’s attitude towards the epidemic. He blamed Johnson and Health Minister Matt Hancock for the chaos caused by the epidemic.

“The Prime Minister failed to understand the seriousness of the situation and did not put a lockdown on time which resulted in the needless death of thousands of people.”

Cummings’s big charges:

When Dominic Cummings was asked if Boris Johnson was the man qualified to lead the country in the pandemic, Cummings replied, “No.” Cummings said, “The truth is senior ministers, officials and advisors like me have not lived up to the standards that the public expects their government to put in such a crisis.”

Cummings said he overheard Johnson saying – ‘I am ready to see an increasing number of dead bodies rather than a third lockdown’. The Prime Minister has rejected this matter in the House of Commons.

Cummings alleges that the government’s response to the epidemic was very low. He said that no plan or readiness was shown to save the most threatened group.

Cummings said, “The Prime Minister’s fiancée was interfering in the hiring decisions and wanted to illegally get her friends a job.”

Dominic Cummings is the strategist behind the 2016 Brexit campaign and Johnson’s big win in 2019. He stepped down from his post last year after differences with Boris Johnson.
