Delhi University teachers strike to protest against non-payment of salary

Thousands of teachers of Delhi University went on strike on Thursday in protest against non-payment of salary for the last six months. The university ‘bandh’ was called by the Delhi University Teachers Association (DUTA) on Tuesday. 12 college employees associated with the University of Delhi have alleged that they have neither received salary nor other arrears for the last six months.

According to a statement issued by the DUTA, “DUTA will take out a” rights rally “from the vice chancellor’s office on March 15 to the chief minister’s residence and on March 18, another rally will be taken from the vice-chancellor’s office to the office of the Deputy Governor.
