Indian Startups Raise $12 Bn in First Three Months Of 2022: FinTracker Report

Domestic startups in India raised over $12 billion (INR around 90,000 Crore) in Q4 of 2021-22, compared to $4 billion (INR around 30,000 Crore) in the same period last year. Data Tracking Platform FinTracker has given information about this stating that a total of 528 Indian startups, of which 324 are in their infancy and 123 are in their development phase, have announced their funding round of $12.06 billion during Q4FY2021-22.

82 Startups Become Unicorns
According to FinTracker, 82 startup companies were also added to the “Unicorn” list. Companies with a valuation of 1 billion become unicorns. As per their stats, Between December 2014 to December 2021, Indian startups have raised a total of $38.40 billion.
According to Hurun Research Institute, In 2021, India has emerged as the third-largest startup ecosystem after the US and China.
According to PwC India’s report, In Q3FY2021-22, Indian startups obtained record funding of $10.9 billion in 347 deals.
Meanwhile, seeing accelerated funding activities, a recent report states that over 100 unicorns are expected to be created in India in 2022.
