KKR win toss and elect to bowl against RCB in IPL 2024; Anukul Roy makes an appearance

Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bowl first against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Match 10 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. KKR have made one change with Anukul Roy coming in. Both captains expressed their thoughts on the wicket and their strategies for the game.

KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer mentioned, “Had a chat with the curator and she was not sure how the wicket would behave. The preparation has been good, we have to carry forward the momentum. Important to be in the present and get a good start.” He also discussed his role in the team and the importance of a strong bowling line-up.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, on the other hand, are unchanged from their last match against Punjab Kings. Skipper Faf du Plessis stated, “We would have liked to chase. Important early season to get over the line in close games. Helps confidence as well. All the great cricketers have got the ability to adapt, and then see what their options are.”

In head-to-head records, KKR have the upper hand with 18 wins in 32 matches against RCB. They have also won four out of their last five encounters. KKR made one change to their squad, with Anukul Roy coming into the playing XI. The playing XIs for both teams were declared with exciting prospects expected from both sides.
