Giving information about the lockdown, Maharashtra Minister Nitin Raut said that apart from Nagpur, the number of corona infected is increasing rapidly in rural areas as well.

He said that partial lockdown was imposed on Saturday and Sunday but it did not yield the desired result. He said that Corona patients were seen wandering outside keeping the rules followed by a lockdown.

On the other hand, according to the data released by the Ministry of Health, on Thursday, 22854 new cases of corona virus infection have been reported across the country. With this, the figure of total infected in the country has reached 11285561. According to the data, this is the third time this year when more than 20,000 new cases of corona have been reported in the country. Earlier, two days in the first week of January 2021, more than 20 thousand new cases were reported across the country, which is a matter of concern.

126 people died due to coronavirus infection in 24 hours

The Health Ministry said that the number of active cases has increased to 4628, at present there are 189226 active cases of corona virus infection in the country. At the same time, this figure has reached 158189 after the death of 126 people due to Corona virus infection in the last 24 hours.

In the most affected state of Corona, Maharashtra, the number of cases of infection has increased continuously for the last few days. Here, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has given a big statement regarding the lockdown amid thousands of new cases of Corona. Uddhav Thackeray said on Wednesday that the state government could not easily take the decision of lockdown in the state. He also said that a decision will be taken regarding the lockdown only after reviewing the situation.

13,659 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

CM Uddhav Thackeray said, the option of imposing lockdown cannot be easily adopted, but we have to take a concrete decision soon. “We will review the situation in the next few days and take a decision,” he said. On Wednesday, 13,659 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the state in the last 24 hours and 54 people died. On Wednesday, 13,659 new corono virus cases have been reported, so far this year there were not so many cases reported in a single day.

As many as 1,539 cases of corona virus have been reported in Mumbai on Wednesday, making it the highest number of cases in Mumbai in the last five months. That is, since October, there were not so many cases in one day in Mumbai. The total corona cases presently in Maharashtra are 22,52,057. At the same time 20,99,207 have been recovered from Covid-19. So far, 52,610 people have died due to corona in the state. The active case in the state is 99,008.
