Mamta’s letter to PM – ‘Wants to give COVID vaccine in State for free’

Before the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday requesting the Center to cooperate in purchasing the required quantity of COVID-19 vaccine.

She said that the state government wants to give the coronavirus vaccine ‘free to all people’ to make the upcoming elections safe for general voters.

She said, “We need to reach every government and semi-government employee on an urgent basis to make the election safe. We feel that reaching them with an immediate vaccination program in the interest of everyone’s health is equally important. is.”

Mamata Banerjee said that the matter of concern is that elections will be held in the state and people will be forced to go to polling stations without vaccination.

She requested PM Modi to direct the appropriate officials so that the states could purchase vaccines on the highest priority basis.

Mamata said that the state government wants to vaccinate all the people of Bengal for free. The total population of Bengal is around 10 crores. Let us know that elections are likely to be held in April-May for the 294-member assembly of West Bengal.
