He used to return after finishing school to participate in yearly activities. He was declared the “Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star 2” winner. He competed in “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge” 2005, where he’s on Ismail Darbar’s “Yalgaar Ho Gharana”, along with “Amul STAR Voice of India”.

In the 2011 Mukesh Bhatt movie Murder 2, Irfan, Arijit Singh, and Saim Bhat played “Phir Mohabbat.” The tune was a financial hit and got some airplay. The soundtrack producers Sajid-Wajid, Himesh Reshammiya, Meet Bros Anjjan, and Jeet Ganguly worked alongside him.
“Baarish” from Yaariyan, “Muskurane” from Citylights, “Banjaara” from Ek Villain, “Dard Dilo Ke” from The Xpose, and “Tu Hi Tu” from Kick were some of his singles from 2014.
Mithoon Sharma wrote and performed the immensely hit song “Banjaara.” Rediff.com reviewed the music and Irfan “is yet another vocalist creating a name for themselves in the Hindi music community, so with this tune, is certain to get acknowledged”
He also sang, ‘Muskurane’ from the movie ‘City Lights’ which became very successful and was a famous song in a matter of seconds. He cut two tracks for Mithoon’s Lamhaa that same year, “Salaam Zindagi” and “Rehmat Zara,” some of which earned him the finest male vocalist premiere honour. Though like any other singer with no particular roots, he has been quite lowkey for sometime, but in case of now he has gained a lot of popularity.
