After BJP spokeswoman Nupur Sharma made a remark regarding the Prophet Muhammad, there was outrage. Many Arab countries reacted to this comment and summoned Indian embassies to register their disapproval. Officials claimed today that after an FIR was filed on a charge that she was receiving death threats because of her statements about Prophet Muhammad, Delhi Police offered protection to banned BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma and her household. She had asked the police to continue providing protection since she had been harassed and threatened.

Ms. Sharma was suspended by the BJP on Sunday, while its Delhi unit’s media head, Naveen Kumar Jindal, was removed after the issue over their statements about Prophet Muhammad erupted into complaints from Muslim countries. In the wake of Muslim protests and harsh retaliation from nations such as Kuwait, Qatar, and Iran, the BJP put out a statement declaring that it supports all cultures and vehemently condemns insults to religious figures.

In a Twitter message, the OIC Secretariat vehemently responded to Nupur Sharma’s statement. The OIC Secretary-General has slammed a contentious statement given by an official from India’s governing government. In India, terrorism against Muslims has grown. The OIC stated that limitations are being put on Muslims, citing the hijab ban in higher education institutions and the vandalism of Muslim property.
Nupur Sharma’s Statement On Muhammed
Nupur Sharma’s statement had previously been condemned by Qatar, Kuwait, and Iran, but Saudi Arabia rejoined them on Monday. They voiced their displeasure by publishing a formal declaration. Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, has also praised the measures taken against Nupur Sharma.
Ms Sharma filed a complaint with the police’s computer chamber on May 28 alleging death and rape threats and focused hostility towards several people. An FIR was filed accused unknown people under IPC sections 506 (criminal intimidation), 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication), and 509 (word, gesture, or act designed to offend a woman’s modesty) depending on this allegation.
