To show their friends and other loved ones that they appreciate, people tie rakhi around their wrists.
Raksha Bandhan 2022
According to Drik Panchang, the muhurat on August 11, 2022, will last until the first portion of Purnima. On August 11, at 8:51 p.m., it would stop. Religious texts advise against tying a rakhi at night since it is thought to be a bad omen and should not be used for fortunate activities. Rakhi can therefore be tied after 8:51 p.m. on August 11 and up to 7:16 a.m. on August 12 during the Purnima tithi.
According to the legend, rakhi was used to keep our loved ones safe from danger. Even during the Bengal division that occurred during the Indian Independence War, it was also employed as a tool to reunite Hindus and Muslims. Rabindranath Tagore utilized the rakhi to promote harmony and fraternity between the major religions and put an end to the British determination to divide Bengal.
