Shubman Gill, GT skipper, fined for slow-over rate against CSK in IPL 2024

GT captain Shubman Gill was fined Rs 12 lakhs for maintaining a slow over-rate during the IPL 2024 match against CSK. This was the team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct. “As it was his team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over rate offences, Gill was fined Rs 12 lakhs,” the statement from the tournament read.

CSK displayed a strong performance with both bat and ball, securing a convincing victory over GT. The defending champions have started the season well, leading the points table with two wins. GT, on the other hand, has one win and one loss, placing them sixth on the table. CSK’s dominance in the match reflected their goal to maintain their winning streak in the tournament.
