As the Survey Center on American Life, it is revealed that two-thirds of Americans believe that you can know a lot more about what is going on in the globe by doing your own research and ignoring TV news channels. The nature of conducting your research involves checking social media posts and making a possible assumption on the basis of facts making it a conspiracy theory.

Since the pandemic, the demand for conspiracy theories has increased such as blush-pink Instagram posts, Covid-19 to name a few. Conspiracy theories are nothing new on the internet, they have been going on since the birth of the internet. The best part is, they spread like wildfire in just a few days giving the amount of attention that mainstream media can’t. There are many theories that are going on for decades like the death of Princess Diana. She was killed in a car accident back in 1997. Many believe it was pre-planned murder conducted by the Royal family in order to save their reputation. 

Other include 9/11 was an inside job. Nearly 3,000 people died on a sunny morning in September 2001. It is believed the attack was done to push the idea of going to war with Afghanistan for oil. The proof that the 9/11 attack was planned is the way it collapsed. Buildings in demolition collapsed like that.
