Night Curfew in New Delhi on New Year celebration, section 144 will also have to be followed

The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has imposed a night curfew in the national capital to prevent the spread of coronavirus. According to the order, no more than five people will be allowed to gather at a public place, and no New Year celebration can be held. A DDMA order said, “There will be no meeting at the public place from 11 am to 6 am on January 31 and from 1 am on January 1 to 6 am on January 2.”

Amidst the new tension of the Coronavirus, no public Gathering will be allowed between 11 am and 6 am in Delhi on 31 December and 1 January as the night curfew has been announced by the state government to prohibit the celebration of the New Year.

“All District Magistrates of Delhi and their equivalent District Deputy Commissioners of Police and all authorities concerned shall ensure strict compliance of this order and shall adequately inform and alert the field authorities about these instructions for strict compliance of letter and spirit. , “Said the DDMA letter.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday that the national capital was ready to deal with the new coronavirus new strain.

According to the Health Ministry data, there are 6,122 active cases in Delhi and 6,07,494 people have been cured. So far, 10,502 deaths have been recorded in the national capital.

Delhi Police Commissioner S. N. Srivastava said that in the new year 2021, special arrangements have been made by the Delhi Police to keep an eye on those who drive drunk. Due to Coronavirus, Delhi Police will not use the alchometer. But there is complete preparation for strict action against those who risk the lives of others by drinking alcohol.

Joint CP Manish Aggarwal of Delhi Traffic Police said that the hotel owners in Connaught Place have also prepared for the celebration of New Year 2021 according to the Kovid protocol. Masks, sanitizers and social distancing are mandatory. Even if the number of people is less, there is a loss, but in any case, the hotel owners have reiterated not to violate the rules.
