The Peruvian Foreign Minister resigned from his post amid public outcry over reports of government officials secretly vaccinating in the country. President Francisco Sagasti has confirmed the resignation of Foreign Minister Elizabeth Estete and told local TV channel ‘America’ that the people of Peru should be angry and angry because of this situation as it worked on the front against Covid-19 The efforts of many Peruvian people have been hit.

The controversy arose when former President Martín Vizcarra on Thursday confirmed a news report that he and his wife had secretly taken vaccine supplements from Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinopharm in October. Health Minister Pilar Majetti resigned on Friday after lawmakers accused him of hiding information.

Sagasti reported on Twitter that an additional 2,000 doses of the vaccine were received from Sinopharm during the Vijkara administration and that some senior government officials had received the vaccine. The country’s new health minister said Sunday night that Sagasti has ordered the resignation of all those officers who have secretly received Chinese vaccines. He said that investigations are on to identify the officials who secretly vaccinated in September.

16 YO Mint Butterfield Went Missing After 'Running Away'

Mint Butterfield, the 16-year-old daughter of Stewart Butterfield, has recently gone missing, according to People magazine. It is alleged that she ran away.

According to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, she was last spotted on April 21, Sunday around 10 p.m. in Bolinas, California.

On Monday, April 22, at 8:30 a.m., authorities posted a notice on Nextdoor revealing that Mint Butterfield had been reported missing.

Search Efforts for the Teenager

Authorities described the 16-year-old as 5’0″ tall and weighing 100 lbs. She has pierced brows and brown/reddish curly hair.

Reportedly, she was wearing black boots, flannel pajama pants, and a black sweatshirt. Additionally, she might be carrying a gray suitcase.

Deputy K. Walther of the Marin County Sheriff’s Office announced that the 16-year-old is believed to have run away to the San Francisco area.

Sgt. Adam Schermerhorn and detectives from the San Francisco Police Department are collaborating to locate the teen.

Mint Butterfield’s Parents: Stewart Butterfield and Caterina Fake 

Caterina Fake and Stewart Butterfield, Mint’s parents, were informed of her disappearance on April 22.

In 2004, the couple founded Flickr, which was sold to Yahoo in 2005. Fake and Stewart separated in 2008. In 2022, Stewart founded Slack.

The New York Post reported that the search for Mint Butterfield is ongoing, with both her family and authorities involved. The parents have urged anyone with any information to report it immediately.

19 YO Sheryl M Turner Killed By Man She Met Online, Severed Body Disposed In River

The murder of 19-year-old Sheryl M. Turner has dominated media headlines. This incident occurred in New Iberia, Louisiana, as reported by People magazine.

Following her disappearance, Sheryl M. Turner was linked to a 29-year-old man she met online, Anthony Holland Jr.

According to a news release from the West Monroe Police Department dated April 24, Anthony Holland Jr. has been charged with murder.

Who is Sheryl M Turner?

Per the Catahoula Parish Sheriff’s Department, Sheryl M. Turner was last seen by her family on December 31, 2023.

She reportedly visited the West Monroe residence of the suspect that day.

It is reported that Sheryl and Anthony Holland were romantically involved and exchanged text messages.

According to a statement from the West Monroe Police Department, the 19-year-old informed her family that she planned to live with him before moving out.

What Exactly Happened?

According to KLFY-TV, on the evening of January 2, 2024, her phone stopped working. Prior to this, the 19-year-old’s phone used Wi-Fi near her alleged partner, Holland Jr.’s phone.

By January 3, 2024, Turner had completely disappeared. Sherry, her twin sister, stated on a GoFundMe page, “as the days went by, we knew something was wrong.”Nearly three weeks later, on January 24, a floating body was discovered in the Ouachita River.

Sherry provided Turner’s remains, from which DNA samples were tested. Based on forensic data and surveillance, Holland Jr. was identified as a suspect.

On April 23, the West Monroe Police Department executed a search warrant at his residence.

While searching Holland Jr.’s house, police found evidence of a violent crime. He later confessed to murdering the 19-year-old inside his house.

He added that he dismembered the deceased’s body inside his house, then disposed of it in a tributary of the Ouachita River.

Holland Jr. is currently in police custody and has been charged with one count of second-degree murder.

Caroline Fohlin, an Economics professor from Emory University, was detained by police. This incident occurred on April 25, Thursday, after a “crackdown on pro-Palestine protestors at Decatur”.

Emory Police Department has to crack down the university students for forming “encampments, with tents and other protest paraphernalia.” 

Since 2017, Caroline Fohlin has been serving Emory University at the College of Arts and Sciences.

On Wednesday, 93 protestors were apprehended. Caroline is an alumnus of the same university where protests are continuing, despite huge arrests.  

A video of Fohlin getting detained has gone viral all over social media. In the video, a police deputy can be spotted knocking Caroline to the ground. Her head strikes the concrete and her glasses fall off. 

According to CNN, she along with other protestors were arrested by Emory Police.

Who is Caroline Fohlin?

Caroline Fohlin has done her Graduation from Tufts University, in Medford, Massachusetts in Quantitative Economics and Mathematics. 

Then, in 1994, from UC Berkeley, she did a PhD in Economics. She also taught at California Institute of Technology and Johns Hopkins University. 

As per allegations circulating all over the media, the crackdown at Emory is the most violent until now.

According to The Journal, protestors used rubber bullets and tear gas for the first time. Protests kickstarted on April 17, at Columbia University.

Alongwith Emory, at least 17 other universities are currently the prey of the protests. 

With Emory, it has now spread to at least 17 universities.

In a statement, the Emory administration unveiled that they were assisted by the Georgia State Patrol and the Atlanta Police. 

The statement by Emory University read,

“Several dozen protesters trespassed onto Emory University’s campus early Thursday morning and set up tents on the Quad. These individuals are not members of our community. They are activists attempting to disrupt our university as our students finish classes and prepare for finals.”

It added, “Emory does not tolerate vandalism or other criminal activity on campus.”
