Venue For ODI Shifted From Rawalpindi To Lahore

In another new development, Pakistan Cricket Board has moved the three One-Day Internationals and one Twenty20 International against Australia to Lahore from Rawalpindi. The matches will be played per the schedule, and only the venues have been changed. Three ODIs will be played on March 29, 31, and April 2, and the one-off T20I on April 5.

The PCB said in a release that the venue for the white-ball matches had been changed from Rawalpindi to Lahore on the dates as announced previously. As a result, the white ball Australian players will arrive in Lahore on March 24 and, after quarantine protocol of one day, will join the other members of the team. Pakistan’s white-ball players are scheduled to assemble on March 22 and resume training on March 25.

The ODI matches are a part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. Australia is placed at number seven while the host nation currently is in the ninth position as far as rankings are concerned. Therefore, the Australian players will leave for India after the conclusion of the present series to play in the forthcoming IPL matches.
