Kirron Kher or Kirron Anupam Kher began her professional career as a theatre actress before joining the Bharatiya Janata Party. She was born in Chandigarh on June 14, 1955, to a Jat Sikh family. Kirron grew up in Chandigarh and went on to earn from Panjab University’s Department of Indian Theatre in Punjab.

She engaged Gautam Berry, an entrepreneur with whom she shares a kid. She eventually broke up. Kirron Kher met her soul mate, Anupam Kher, in 1985 and the two agreed to marry. Kirron Kher began her cinematic debut in 1983 with Aasra Pyar Da, a Punjabi new movie. She began her political breakthrough in May 2014, when she was chosen to the Lok Sabha, India’s lower house of parliament, from Chandigarh.
