Ram Charan was born on 27th March 1985 in Chennai. His father is a film actor Chiranjeevi and his mother is Surekha. He also has two sisters Sushmitha and Sreeja. He is the grandson of Allu Ramalingaiah and the nephew of Allu Aravind, Pawan Kalyan, and Nagendra Babu.
He did his schooling at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, Chennai, Lawrence School, Lovedale. Later he attended Kishore Namit Kapoor’s acting school in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
In 2016, Charan started his own production house Konidela Production Company. The company has made movies like Khaidi No. 150 (2017) and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy (2019). Apart from that, he is also the owner of the polo team Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club and co-partner of the regional airline service TruJet.
Ram Charan is married to Upasana Kamineni, the vice-chairman of Apollo Charity and Chief Editor of B Positive magazine. She is the daughter of Shobana Kamineni and the granddaughter of Prathap C. Reddy, the Executive Chairman of the Apollo Hospitals.
The couple got engaged in December 2011 and got married on 14 June 2012 at the Temple Trees Farm House in Hyderabad. As per reports, they both were friends in the 9thgrade in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
