Nushrat Bharucha is a famous Indian movie actress born on 17th May 1985 to a Dawoodi Bohra family in Mumbai Maharastra. Her father’s name is Tanvir Bharucha, a businessman while her mother is Tasneem Bharucha, a housewife. Nushrat graduated in Fine Arts from Jai Hind College in Mumbai.

She started her career with the 2002 TV series Kittie Party in a minor role. In 2006 she made her Hindi film debut with Jai Santoshi Maa later appeared in a music video “Zindagi Kahin Gum Hai” by Zubeen Garg in 2007. In 2009 she made a cameo appearance in Kal Kissne Dekha. In 2010 she made her Telugu film debut with the Taj Mahal. She also appeared in Seven TV series as Drishika Kashyap
Nushrat made her Bollywood debut in a leading role in Dibakar Banerjee and Ekta Kapoor’s anthology Love Sex Aur Dhokha in 2010. The film did well at the box office with mixed reviews. Later she appeared in Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011 and Akaash Vani in 2013 alongside Kartik Aaryan. Both movies didn’t do well in the theatres but made her a household name.
Her breakthrough came when she was cast as Vaani in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 in 2015. The film became a box office hit generating revenue of Rs 88 crore worldwide. Later, she appeared in a shady role in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety alongside Aaryan and Sunny Nijjar The film became a youth favourite movie of all time making a cult among the young generation.
In 2019, she appeared alongside Ayushmann Khurrana in Dream Girl. Both movies entered in 100 Crore Club in India making her well established leading lady of Bollywood. She has been a part of many films like Love Sex Aur Dhokha, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Dream Girl, Chhorii, Ajeeb Daastaans and Janhit Mein Jaari.
