The Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh Government is regularly introducing different schemes in the state to benefit differently-abled persons. But due to the lack of information, needy Divyangjan is not able to get the benefit from these schemes. So to make information accessible to all the needy, leading social activist Ranjan Tomar on Friday talked about all the schemes available through RTI (Right to Information Act, 2005).
Mr. Tomar added ‘Many differently-abled people are not getting government service in the city. It will be our endeavor to work for the benefit of such differently-abled persons.’
Below we talked about 5 Beneficial Schemes for Divyangjan in Uttar Pradesh
1. Motorized Tricycle Yojana
Under this scheme, 80% of disabled will be given motorized tricycles once in life. One can grab more detailed information and can fill application for this scheme by visiting https://hwd.uphq.in/
2. Marriage Incentive Reward Scheme
This scheme is being run for more than 40% of handicaps. One can apply to get more information about this scheme from here, and can apply for it by visiting https://uphwd.gov.in/
₹15,000 in a lump sum if the man is disabled from the couple, ₹20,000 in a lump sum if the girl is disabled. And if both of them are disabled, ₹35,000 thousand rupees will be provided in a lump sum.
3. Shop Construction | Operational Plan
In this scheme, ₹10,000 loans will be given to the handicaps for the purchase of Food Thela, etc. Of which ₹2,500 will be a grant, while the remaining amount has to be backed with 4% annual interest. To apply for this scheme, it’s important for one to have more than 40% disability certificate. One can fill the application form from www.divyangjandukan.upsdc.gov.in.
4. Artificial Limbs/Assistive Equipment Scheme
More than 40% divyangjan will be given tricycles, wheelchairs, sticks, crutches, artificial hands, and artificial feets under this scheme. One would require an application made in the office of the District Magistrate to apply for this scheme.
5. Bharan Poshan Anudaan Yojana
Under this scheme, there’s a provision for pension for more than 40% of the handicaps. Apply to get benefits from this scheme by logging on to www.sspy.gov.nic.
