Oppenheimer: Cillian Murphy starrer’s trailer OUT, Read to know about Christopher Nolan’s upcoming flick

Since its announcement, Oppenheimer has been one of the highly anticipated movies of 2023. Directed by iconic Christopher Nolan, the movie stars many A-list celebrities and is based on the most horrifying war event in the history of the globe, the Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is based on the biopic of the life of American physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, the man who invented the atomic bomb. 

Oppenheimer’s trailer is out

The movie is based on the biographical novel by the late Martin J. Sherwin and Kai Bird , which won Pulitzer Prize in 2006. It shows the life journey of J. Robert Oppenheimer and analyzes the issues that revolve around the invention of the atomic bomb. He was one of the greatest physicists of all time along with many complications of his own. 

In his latest interview, Christopher Nolan revealed the first nuclear weapon detonator was made with the help of CGI effects for the movie. He also shared his experience while filming the movie’s detonation sequence. He stated making the trinity test [the first nuclear weapon detonation, in New Mexico] without the help of CGI was a complicated task to pull off. 

The famous director, who has made many masterpieces in the past such as Interstellar and Inception told making Oppenheimer was the most challenging thing he has ever done. During the making, there were many logistics issues that were very hard to deal with. But all thanks to the amazing cast and crew who made it possible to achieve. 

The thriller is all set to hit the theatres on 21st July 2023 and will face tough competition from Greta Gerwig’s “Barbie” which is also releasing on the same date. The trailer for barbie was released on 17 December, closer to Oppenheimer’s trailer. It will be interesting to see which one wins the heart of the audience.
