Greater Noida Authority signs MOUs worth Rs 40,000 crore ahead of Global Investors Summit

With the latest updates, Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has signed an MoU of Rs 40,000 for investing in the city for the UP Global Investors Summit which is all set to be organised in February of this year.

As per the GNIDA, the authority has signed an MoU of Rs 16,106 crore investment in the field of industrial development. Additionally, out of all, Rs 11,680 crore will be invested through 17 agreements. Many other industries have also shown their interest in investing in Greater Noida. 

In order to increase the possibility of more investment, CEO Ritu Maheshwari instructed officials to push the investment opportunities for the UP Global Investors Summit. Last month, Maheshwari who also happens to be the  CEO of Noida Authority visited Singapore to attract better investment for Noida as well as Greater Noida. She was a part of a delegation team made by the UP government cabinet minister Swatantara Dev Singh who also visited Singapore before the investment summit. 

It should be noted that GNIDA’s commercial department signed an agreement of Rs 7,000 crore and ITES, IT signed an agreement of Rs 2,760 crore. The institutional department signed a deal of Rs  1,432 crore and the other Rs 70 crore worth of agreement is related to the Integrated Industrial Township Greater Noida Limited (IITGNL).

Ritu Maheswari also asked the officials of GNIDA to alot land to these investors. This will help in attracting better investors for Greater Noida and other related schemes. As per the current scenario, GNIDA is pushing the schemes for industrial and institutional segments and fuel stations. Plus, the UP government is planning to build data centres and already approved the plan worth Rs 15,950 crore.
