1. ‘Selfiee’
A Hindi remake of the Malayalam movie Driving License directed by Raj Mehta. It stars an A-list star cast including Diana Penty, Emraan Hashmi, and Nushrratt Bharuccha. Rumors have it that the movie will not be released on the OTT platform but will hit theatres on 24th February 2023.
2. ‘OMG 2’
Back in 2012, Akshay Kumar left fans in awe when he portrayed the role of Lord Krishna in the comedy-drama “OMG: Oh My God”. Its sequel OMG 2 will hit the theatre in the first half of 2023. The movie will also feature Yami Gautam and Pankaj Tripathi in prominent roles. As per rumors, This time Akshay Kumar will play Lord Shiva.
3. ‘Soorarai Pottru Remake’
A remake of the Tamil national award-winning movie “Soorarai Pottru”. The original Suriya-starrer was released back in 2020 and was a huge hit. Well, for its Hindi remake, Radhika Madan has been cast in the lead role alongside Akshay Kumar. The official release date hasn’t been decided but will hit theatre next year.
4. ‘Capsule Gill’
Akshay Kumar will play the role of Jaswant Singh Gill, an additional chief mining engineer who was behind the rescue people of Raniganj, West Bengal in 1989 when the coal mine was filled with water during a flood. Parineeti Chopra will play the female lead.
5. ‘Vedat Marathe Veer Daudale Saat’
In the movie, Akshay will be seen playing the role of Maratha Warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. This will mark Akshay’s debut in the Marathi film industry. It will be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar.
