International Mother Language Day 2023 Theme, Quotes, Slogans, Images, Posters, Banners, Greetings, and Paragraphs to share

Every year, February 21 is observed as International Mother Language Day to raise awareness of the value of the country’s linguistic and cultural diversity. Bangladesh took an effort to institute this holiday. The UNESCO General Conference adopted it in 1999, and ever since then, it has been celebrated all around the world. For societies to remain sustainable, UNESCO emphasizes the value of linguistic and cultural variety. By honoring the revolutionary language campaign and the martyrs who paid the ultimate sacrifice in Bangladesh in 1952, this day commemorates honor and pride. This day, also known as “Matribhasha Diwas,” is festively and joyously observed.

This day honors multilingualism and the languages that are effective forces for social integration and global progress. It seeks to advance equity for all as a sustainable development agenda. The UN General Assembly agreed to declare a UN day in response to a UN resolution from 2002. The United Nations General Assembly encourages its member nations to take steps to safeguard all languages used around the globe in this resolution. Language plays a crucial role in the development and expansion of modern civilization.
