History
The basis of Christian belief is the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because he was detained, put on trial, and deemed guilty of pretending to be a king, Jesus was killed by the Romans at Calvary. Following his death, Jesus Christ’s body had been covered in linen fabric and laid in a tomb, the opening of which was covered by a big stone.
His followers visited his grave on the third day, a Sunday morning, but when they arrived, they discovered it to be vacant. Angels are thought to have removed the stone from the tomb so that Jesus may exit it. Jesus’ resurrection validated his status as the Son of God.
Significance
Among the main festivals or holidays in Christianity is regarded to be Easter. Easter begins three days following Jesus was crucified by the Romans, by the New Testament of the Bible. The “Passion of Christ,” which started with a 40-day fast and ended with Holy Week, comes to an end with Easter.
