After a disappointing performance in 2023, Europe will be raring to redeem their pride at the LEC Winter 2024 Playoffs. In 2023, no team from Europe could make it to the knockout stage of the League of Legends World Championship.
With the return of the Rogue brand, Karmine Corp shaking hands with Giants, and MAD Lions amalgamated with other companies forming GIANTS and MAD Lions KOI, there has been a lot of shuffling around of teams. KCorp’s LEC debut was disastrous, and the team was eliminated from the playoff stage since they could not win a single match they had played. The team was a hot favorite and was expected to come to the LEC Winter 2024 Playoffs, but sadly, this did not materialize. It is a sad state of affairs, and fans hope that the team does some serious thinking about its future. KCorp and Rogue are no longer in contention, and now eight teams will battle it out at the LEC Winter 2024 Playoffs.

LEC Winter 2024: Schedule and results
The LEC Winter split began on January 13, 2024, and the best-of-one format was enforced for the first part of the season. Every team from the split will be earning Championship Points towards international competition. The Spring Split will decide who will represent the LEC for the Mid-Season Invitational. For Playoffs, there is a bracket with two Best of Three matches played a day.

Playoffs involve lengthy schedules in the LEC, and the losers’ bracket is thrown up in the very first matches. Teams which have lost their first matches have a ray of hope and could qualify depending upon situations and the performance of other teams.

The eight Winter Split teams will qualify into the Winter Playoffs. The Winter Playoffs will be held in a double-elimination bracket while the lowest-ranked two teams will have to wait for the Spring split to play in league matches.
