Meta Tests Cross-Posting Feature from Facebook to Threads
Meta has started testing a cross-posting feature that would allow users to post from Facebook to Threads. The feature is similar to the one that users have been using for a long time to post Stories and Reels on both Facebook and Instagram at the same time. The test is currently limited to iOS and does not include the European Union (EU). It will enable users to share both text and link posts from Facebook to Threads, simplifying the process for content creators.

In 2021, Facebook launched the capability to cross-post to Instagram, after the previous ability to cross-post Stories across the two platforms. In addition, Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerburg announced that the company is testing a new “trending topics” feature on Threads that will allow users to see what kinds of conversations are trending on the platform. The test is initially rolling out for users in the US and will expand to more countries and languages once it is ready.

According to TechCrunch, a spokesperson for Meta confirmed the test and stated that the feature will be beneficial for content creators who frequently post photos or other media with text updates. Zuckerberg also mentioned in a Threads post, “Rolling out a small test of today’s top topics on Threads in the US. We’ll roll it out in more countries and languages once we get it tuned up.”

As Meta continues to innovate and test new features for its platforms, the introduction of cross-posting from Facebook to Threads signifies the company’s commitment to providing users with seamless and efficient ways to share content across its various social media platforms. With the potential for the feature to expand to more regions and languages in the future, it could significantly impact the way users engage and interact on Threads.
