Party has named observers in Himachal Pradesh, issue will be resolved shortly, says Sachin Pilot

Jaipur, Feb 28 (IANS) Congress leader Sachin Pilot expressed confidence that the issue of cross-voting in the Rajya Sabha election in Himachal Pradesh will soon be resolved. He mentioned that observers have been appointed by the party in the state to address the matter.

Speaking in Sikar, Pilot stated, “Our party has appointed observers in Himachal, they will talk to everyone, and hopefully the matter will be resolved very soon.” He also commented on the Congress defeat in Rajasthan, highlighting that the party’s vote percentage was not significantly lower than that of the BJP.

Pilot emphasized the failures of the BJP government, stating, “This government has broken its promises on every issue, especially with the farmers and the youth.” He pointed out the discrepancy between the BJP’s publicity and its actual performance on key issues like inflation and unemployment. Pilot stressed the importance of contesting elections on development issues rather than emotional ones.

The Congress leader noted, “We want elections to be fought on these issues but the BJP wants elections to be fought on emotional issues. We will contest elections on development issues.” Pilot also mentioned the strength of the party’s INDIA bloc in the political landscape.

It remains to be seen how the situation in Himachal Pradesh unfolds following the appointment of observers by the Congress party. With Pilot’s confident outlook on resolving the cross-voting issue, the upcoming developments in the state’s political scenario will be closely watched.
