Police launch manhunt for accused in B’luru cafe blast, visuals traced

Karnataka Police have identified the suspected bomber in the Bengaluru IED explosion case. The CCTV footage shows the accused with a backpack allegedly carrying a bomb. The police have launched a manhunt for the accused in Mangaluru, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.

The alleged bomber was seen wearing a white cap, grey shirt, and black pants at the Rameshwaram cafe before the blast. Another video shows the accused walking hurriedly towards the cafe with the backpack. The police are confident of nabbing the accused soon.

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will chair a high-level meeting to discuss the state’s security situation. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar stated that the accused would be arrested within a few hours. Central agencies like the NIA and IB have been informed and are assisting in the investigation.

The HAL police station has registered the case under UAPA and the Explosive Substances Act. The explosion occurred at the Rameshwaram Cafe in the Whitefield area between 12.50 p.m. and 1 p.m., injuring at least 10 individuals. The police are working diligently to bring the perpetrator to justice.
