Kia Unveils K4 Compact Sedan at New York Auto Show
Seoul, March 28 (IANS) – Kia, the second-largest carmaker in South Korea, has introduced the K4 compact sedan at the New York auto show. The company plans to launch the vehicle in North American markets later this year. The K4 compact will be assembled at Kia’s plant in Mexico and will be available for sale in the United States and Canada in the second half of the year.
According to reports from Yonhap news agency, the new model will come in two versions – one with a 2.0-litre gasoline engine and the other with a 1.6-litre gasoline turbocharged engine. However, the K4 model will not be imported to Korea, as confirmed by a company spokesperson.
Kia is set to showcase various models at the motor show, including the K4, EV6, and EV9 all-electric cars, along with the Telluride SUV. The event is scheduled to take place from March 29 through April 7. Kia’s presence at the show highlights its commitment to expanding its presence in the North American market.
