IIM Mumbai and Starburst collaborate to support India’s aerospace, new space, and defence start-ups

The Indian Institute of Management Mumbai (IIM Mumbai) has announced a strategic collaboration with Europe’s Starburst to enhance the aerospace, new space, and defence (ASD) industry in India. The partnership aims to strengthen India’s position as a hub for ASD innovation globally and provide support for startups in the industry.

According to Prof. Manoj K Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai, the collaboration is a significant step towards nurturing and empowering the ASD startup ecosystem in India. The goal is to utilize the expertise and resources of both institutions to support ASD startups and help them thrive in India’s ASD industry.

Starburst, recognized for its global network and industry knowledge, will offer ASD startups access to mentorship, funding opportunities, and international networks through the collaboration. Francois Chopard, Founder and CEO of Starburst, expressed excitement about partnering with IIM Mumbai to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the aerospace, new space, and defence sector in India.
